If you want to get your night started off right, head over to Chelsea, the newest bar in La Mariscal. Located perfectly in the middle of the action, it´s a great starting point.

Techno or classic rock blares out of the speakers (look for the DJ hiding in the corner behind the bar). If you catch him in a good mood, he'll put on classics such as Depeche Mode, Aerosmith or Clapton on the big screens for some rollicking-good karaoke.

The decor is oddly reminiscent of what you might find in a bar off the Champs de Elysees in Paris. Plush, red velvet seats, mirrors everywhere, dim lighting and no less than three flat screen TVs. Sometimes the bar will weave futbol matches into videos of raves - slightly odd, but it works.

Locals and gringos alike find it the perfect place to wind down, even on Tuesday nights, making it the perfect place to grab a Pilsener or cocktail after a long day. The "fusion" food doesn't mesh much with some gringo tastes, but if you go for safe favorites like fries or their amazing chips and guacamole, you're good.

Try out the bar's special mixes, particularly with Hypnotiq or Cuervo Gold. With a few $4 cocktails down the pipe, you'll be ready for an authentic night of Mariscal revelry.

great hang out place

Great music, wonderful food, and great bar. Both local and tourist go to Chelsea to unwind and start off the night right.

Nice place, expensive cocktails

I thought this place was great, but that the cocktails were somewhat overpriced. The atmosphere was pleasant and the music was entertaining, blasted out over the big screens

a must dine

excellent service, the food was great! try the drinks they have a good variety and price wise it pays off. a completely new concept which makes it so enjoyable to dine at. a must and i would definitely go back.
