Alston Inn

An older hotel smack dab in the middle of the touristy part of La Mariscal, Alston Inn has a smokey, sad lobby and nicer, but by no means luxurious, rooms. The price includes breakfast, but seems a bit much considering the excellent alternatives in the area.

If you are running low on cash, this can be a good alternative as it accepts all credit cards at no extra charge. The book exchange costs $1 for as many exchanges as you want.

Juan Leon Mera n23-41 and Veintimilla

Great place!

One restaurant was not good, the fireplace at night with cable tv was great (lots of movies). Staff really nice and helped us a lot, it's really busy, make reservations in advance. Rooms very clean, great beds, lots of hot water and very safe. Mike Blanche
