Boasting three popular locations (Quito and Cuenca in Ecuador and Bogotá, Colombia) Hostal Cafecito is a good place to crash in Quito. The hostel is Canadian-owned with rooms upstairs and a candlelit café and restaurant downstairs, making it a great spot to meet other travelers and locals. El Cafecito offers a 24-hour reception, luggage storage and an international book exchange. Definitely a trendy choice, it’s not known to disappoint.

Great place!
100%I stayed in the hostel for a week in March. Had a really good time and met some other travelers. I really liked the atmosphere in the cafe, especially at night with candle light and the fire place. justed loved the brownies!
With the hostel upstairs it can be a bit noisy at night, but thats only untill eleven.
Warning about El Cafecito
0%I had an extremely bad experience with El Cafecito. One of the employees robbed more than $500 worth of valuables from my backpack when it was entrusted to them to be put in the safe.
Great for a coffee
100%This place is great - good service and good quality food and drinks. There isn´t much in the way of food, but they have a great selection of coffees / tea / hot chocolate and the atmosphere is really relaxing. I would definitely recommend anyone to visit this place.
