Huaki provides a little oriental flare to La Mariscal. A Japanese chef manages the second-floor restaurant (no shoes allowed), and guests rave about the food. For breakfast, included for all rooms except the dormitories ($2.50 extra), you can elect a traditional Japanese-style meal in addition to three other more traditionally western options. Several walls are painted tea green (although they could be touched up) and the bathrooms need a more substantial facelift and scrubbing. Internet access is free, and it is available through the hostal's computer as well on wireless. Huaki is a popular destination especially during May-September so book well in advance.

Hello Huauki Hostal Japones was recommended by my friend in Sacha Lodge. Our plane broke down in Jacksonville, FL and we were four hours late. We had nothing but friendly faces, great service and a fabulous japanese breakfast. Rooms were clean and comfortable. I am going to recommend this to my friends. Thanks for a wonderful visit.

Great reliable, honest staff. Oscar, Santi and Mario are like an extwended family!! The housekeeper Carolina is a real gem and provides clean towels and a huge smile daily!!
The bedrooms are sapacious and have a 2 doible beds in the twin room...lovely1
Unfortuneately the bathrooms are in major need of a facelift and huge clean!!
