The hotel is located at the north end of Mariscal on the busy street Av. Amazonas. Although the hotel lacks any recognizable character, its rooms are clean and well-kept. The private bathrooms, however, are a bit shabby given the price. Make sure to request a room facing away from Amazonas; while the inner courtyard (if you can call it that) is a bit dark, you will spare your ears from the constant traffic noise. You could very well find a better, more centrally located hotel, although the staff may agree to reduce the quoted price, especially for multi-night stays or larger groups. At the time of writing, a downstairs bar offering live music was set to open soon.
