Though the small staff bubbles over with hospitality and there’s not a speck of dust in sight, it’s still not enough to transform this dated hotel into an accommodation worthy of its inflated rates. Cable television, private bathrooms, a cafeteria and an on-site laundry do justify a bit of an increase, but these will do little to raise your spirits when you are forced to retreat down the dimly-lit hallway to your windowless room for the night. Spanish is a must as the staff is far from multilingual.
