A casual, reasonably priced steak restaurant in the Mariscal, Adam's Rib is a popular hub for cheap, big portions and plenty of expats. The New York-born owner, George, speaks Spanish likes a natives and his customers seem to always come back if only just to joke around with him.

The place is known for its BBQ. So, try the baked beans. The BBQ sauce is now for sale. Also, this is a great Sunday brunch option.

Service is slow, so sit back and relax.

Great food

Rating: 100%

Don't miss the ribs--either baby back smoked or country style.  There's also great burgers, smoked chicken, and for dessert: pecan pie, apple pie, or New York cheese cake. The TV's turned down now and the bar's less active--both of which make the food better.

Adam's Ribs is an old standby for great bar-b-que in Quito. There is enough on the menu to go back over and over again and everything is fresh and homemade and delicious. Try the Sunday brunch which includes a Bloody Mary or a Mimosa... the eggs benedict are really good.
