Big Sur - Restaurant Quito - Ecuador

Since its recent remodeling, this clean and modern restaurant has propelled itself to popularity, offering a trendy yet laid-back atmosphere to enjoy a variety of Californian/international fusion fare.  Guests can dine in the beautiful, newly relandscaped garden patio, or simply relax in the cozy interior.  Their ejuctivo (executive) lunch menu, offered from noon until 3:00, is a steal: $3.50 for a three-course lunch (drink included).  On Sundays, feast on the restaurant's massive breakfast buffet, which offers pancakes, french toast, eggs, fruit and bread for only $5.

Be sure to stop by on Thursday evenings, when live jazz fills the ambient air.  Both improvisational and intimate, these performances are a perfect way to soak in local sounds while sipping on wine.  For dinner, try the Californian or smoked chicken sandwich, which include french fries or fresh fruit.

Open Sunday through Wednesday, 8:00am to 4:00pm, and Thursday through Saturday from 8:00am to 10:00pm.
