A Colombian chain (pronounced Kdaips ee Wahflehs) with excellent value and good-sized portions. The waffles are not meant to be breakfast, but rather dessert; they are piled high with ice cream, whipped cream, nutella, fruit and more. Crepes are served with sweet or salty fillings and are full of flavor. The salads are gigantic and delicious.
The desserts are excellent - if not a bit skimpy for those accustomed to North American-sized portions. The cappuccinos are very tasty and served with a chocolate covered coffee bean.
The atmosphere is casual, almost diner-style, but attracts a gringo and classy Ecuadorian crowd.
We have listed the main restaurant in La Mariscal. There is also a branch in the North of Quito in the popular Quicentro mall.
There is a fair selection of vegetarian dishes.

Liked the food and prices, and that it's a kid-friendly restaurant.
Crepes, waffles, what more do you want? They have the best deserts in town. Also very good coffee that comes with a chocolate covered espresso bean...mmmm.
This place has great desserts. Try the chocolate fondue with delicious treats to dunk into the chocolate sauce. Wonderful. Sometimes they give the kiddies crayons to play with too.
I know it's a chain, but you just don't miss with this place. Fantastic heaping salads, and of course- mouth watering crepes and waffles. If you can stomach eating the mall, the Quicentro location is convient. Otherwise head to the Mariscal, feels less like a chain...
The food was incredible. The service was pretty good. The waitress was a little clueless at times (whether we spoke to her in Spanish or English). Overall, a great experience!
I have nothing bad to say about this restaurant, very good! Nice portions very tasty, good service
As an exchange student to Ecuador earlier this year, I can say that Crepes & Waffles is a great, reasonably priced, friendly environment. The salads are wonderful and the dessert list is endless. One piece of advice though, don't go at lunch time. (1:00-2:30) It is impossible to get in. Gringo or not. It's a bit of the first-world dining scence with third world prices. For any traveler, Crepes and Waffles is a definite yes!!!
I haven't had any "real" food at this restaurant, but I've eaten in their Quicentro location (on Shyris in Quito) on numerous occasions. Among the many desert waffles that I've tried there my favorite has been the "Arequipe Waffle". The discovery of this delicious treat began with a simple curiosity as to what arequipe might be. When I tried it, it was amazing. This a soggy waffle, drenched with the Columbian treat arequipe (a bit like a combination between caramel and sweetened condensed milk, though not as thick), and has a slight nutty flavor, in my opinion. The value is excellent (for their desert waffles, in any case), and the normal sized waffles are a better deal than the mini waffles (though they are, admittedly, cuter, being tinier). Hope this helps, and definitely give it a taste!
