La Casa de Eduardo - Restaurant Quito - Ecuador

The staff at La Casa de Eduardo brings Quito's most authentic Mexican food to your table. The story of owner and head chef Eduardo's flavor pilgrimage to Mexico is even written on the wall. Ecuardo and his ferocious handlebar moustache also operates a second restaurant near the Plaza de Toros. Both locations are spotless, spacious and coolly decorated. Dishes are on the expensive side, but excellent; portions are large and come with guacamole, jalapeños and a blistering salsa. Sip a margarita and study the extensive menu. Starters include flautas and gorditas; there are basic salads and traditional Mexican soups, such as pozole; and mains range from suckling pig, fish and shrimp dishes to tacos, enchiladas and burritos (choose from beef, chicken, pork, sausage or mixed). La Casa de Eduardo has daily drink and food deals, including a lunch special Monday-Thursday. Monday 12-3 p.m., Tuesday-Saturday 12-10 p.m., Sunday 12-4 p.m.
