Just a stone's throw from one of Quito's most popular gringo bars, Bungalow 6, Mexicali is a tiny but immaculate take-out joint serving up excellent Mexican staples like burritos, quesadillas, nachos, and other treats you might crave after a long night out. While the place currently has seating for 5, friendly owner Hugo is expanding the restaurant and plans to have outdoor seating space in December of 2007. A Mexican breakfast menu is also in the works.
Try the crispy chicken flautas, which come with homemade guacamole and pico de gallo.
