From the "Have a nice day" sign by the bar to the huge pancakes served for breakfast, there’s nothing Ecuadorian about this place. Unless you’re seeking an authentic dining experience, you’re unlikely to be disappointed. The cozy patio café is always packed with travelers so it's a great place to meet people. All the dishes on the mind-bogglingly huge menu are excellent; the smoothies are a must!

Great!! my best experience in Quito. Magic Bean offers the huge and delicious pancakes in town!!
Great food, friendly service, delicious coffee.
not much ecuadorian about this place, but i must admit it's perfect for gringo cravings. fabulous brunch, come hungry and try the macadamia pancakes
After living here for a bit, I found myself craving American style brunch. Luckily I found the Magic Bean. Great pancakes, omelettes and coffee. A bit pricey, but worth it.
Very good food, very poor value for money. For those with $ to spend and don´t know quito very well, it is a safe comfortable place.
I live in Quito from many years ago and it is my favorite place in the city!! Try lunch and dinner, they were terrific! It is very convienient because it is open every day of the year. Try The Magic Bean and enjoy the experience the good coffee.
Excellent coffee, nice place. One of the only places in Quito that understands the concept of coffee to go. The food is good and the portions are humungous. The service is above average but nothing to write home about.
While traveling through Ecuador i took a job in Quito. In total i stayed in Quito fror around 4 months and ate at all levels of resterant all over the city. The magic bean was about the most over priced place i went. There are many other places in that area with better food, prices and atmospher. That is not to say the food or atmospher were perticually bad it was just very expencive for what was offered and the are better options.
I loved the food, service, and overall atmosphere. It was an excellent place for us to eat!
I thought this place was great. I ate here every day I was in Quito!
