Zócalo

A perfect meeting place for big groups, Zocalo is funky and fresh, with its colorful atmosphere. Look up to see the unique colored water jugs hanging from the ceiling. The restaurant has a simple menu, with fusion food galore.

There are always special promotions going on, whether with the cervezas or almuerzos, so be sure to ask your waiter. The restaurant is often crowded and live music is common too, so avoid peak hours or prepare to wait a little!

Traveler Reviews of Zócalo

Good choice

I like the decor and ambience, heart of the mariscal, upstairs overlooking the street action. good selection of food, service has been good (by ecuatorian standards) everytime I have been there. A place to bring your guy/girl.

Slow service...

I ate the 4.40 set lunch at Zocalo recently and was really disappointed. There was one waitress serving the whole restaurant at peak lunch hour at the rate of a snail. The foor was less than average and for the cost of the set menu, not worth the money at all. Find a $2.00 almuerzos somewhere else; you will feel much more satisfied at the end of your meal.

Get the strawberry daquiri

Yes, there menu is a little pricey for the area. Thats why u should go there for drinks! A daquiri will cost you 3 bux and its really good. I swear!

Overpriced food

Found the food to be overpriced compared to other similar restaurants. The pictures in the menu didn´t match what showed up, and the service wasn´t great either.
