If your legs just aren’t up to a massive hike or trek, another great way to enjoy the stunning scenery that unfolds just outside of Quito is from the back of a horse. A number of larger tour agencies, and smaller private companies offer horseback riding trips for all ages and skill levels. Single and multi-day trips are available, depending on how long you (and your bum) want to spend in the saddle. Two providers to check out are Ilalo Expeditionsthe Green Horse Ranch and the Horse Riding in the Andes Association.
