V!VA User‘s Description

Ecuador is the smallest of the Andean countries, just smaller than Italy. But, with the Pacific Coast, the Andean Highlands and the Amazon Basin packed into its small surface area, plus the Galapagos Islands off the coast, it boasts a little of everything the continent has to offer - like ‘South America in miniature’ as the locals are fond of saying.

Nice country, bad roads

Rating: 75%

There are so many things to do, but if you want to get to them, you really need a 4x4.

Best place ever!!

Rating: 100%

I just came back from a 2 month trip to South America and Ecuador was the highlight of out trip. My boyfriend and I think that this is just an amazing country to visit. We are from Norway but lived in the States for couple of years, and we found Ecuador to be an especially great experience.

Ecuador '08

Rating: 100%

The varied range of landscapes in Ecuador's four regions and the conservation ethics on the Galapagos Islands are both inspring. Traffic in Quito is not so endearing!
