Quito Zoo - City Park Guayllabamba - Ecuador

Guayllabamba is 25 minutes north of Quito, and is the home to the Quito Zoo. The zoo has a great showcase of Ecuadorian animals such as the Andean spectacled bear, the Andean condor and the Galápagos giant turtles. It is one of the biggest zoos in South America and is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9 am to 5 pm. It costs $3 for admission. The best way to get there is to take a bus from Quito's Plaza Italia to Guayllabamba.
