The Pululahua reserve is a very tranquil place, inhabited only by a handful of corn farmers and a few hacienda owners. The main thing to do here is to relax while soaking in the silence and scenery, and then hike along the paths that lead up the crater. You can also bring a mountain bike and follow the dirt roads, which are pretty safe, considering how few cars come out here. There's also the option of simply asking the hotel or restaurant about bike-rentals or even horseback riding. Some of these services can be found at the entrance of the trail leading down into the crater.
