El Crater Restaurant

A visit to this restaurant can easily be a vacation highlight. It offers one of the most spectacular views of any restaurant in Ecuador. Perched literally on the edge of a spectacular crater, Pululagua, the view will blow you away.

The food comes in a very close second. The theme is contemporary Ecuadorian cuisine with excellent steaks, trout and other traditional dishes.

Be sure to walk around the crater after filling up on tasty Ecuadorian food. There are some excellent paths.

Fog

The restaurant was great, the food was excellent and the service outstanding. It is a little out of the way, but works quite well with a trip to the Equator. A bit of a disappointment was that we went there on a foggy day, and could see nothing of the crater.
