Rumiloma Lodge

A luxurious restaurant/hosteria just 10 minutes (by taxi) outside Quito, Rumiloma is a great place to try Ecuadorian and international fare while enjoying impressive views of the metropolitan valley below. Main courses include lobster, lamb, filet mignon and chicken.  Below the restaurant is Rumiloma's newest concoction, Pichincha Paddy's - which, as the name suggests, is a unique blend of the Irish and the Andes.  Though a bit spendy by local standards, this place is worth the trip if you're itching to get outside the city for awhile.

Traveler Reviews of Rumiloma Lodge

Beautiful Rumiloma

The incredible atmosphere of Rumiloma is so different from other hotels in Quito. It is amazing to look out over the city and even see the lightning storms far off in the jungle. Walking the grounds and seeing llamas and other animals was spectacular. Definitely worth it to stay here!

Excellent!

As we worked our way up the neverending hill to the lodge, not knowing what to expect, I thought to myself this better be worth it. And it truly, truly was. Forget the beaten up road to get there, the views, the atmosphere, service and food is truly unforgetable. It is a place that is a must see and should be featured in all travel guides. If you are lucky enough to have the place to yourself as we were (on a weekday night), you truly experience pampering at its best. Enjoy a glass of whiskey next to thegigantic fireplace as you await for your server to let you know your dinner is ready. Savour the magnificant views of the city as you enjoy both local and international delicacies served in the restaurant.
I cannot wait to go back and experience staying over for the night in one of the cabanas.
TRULY, TRULY a must see!!!!

A wonderful experience!

You cannot be closer to heaven than Rumiloma Lodge! The setting could not be more cozy, luxury, well attended and lovingly decorated, surrounded by stunning nature and outstanding views.
