Northern Quito Things to See and Do
The Northern part of the city provides the grounds for some posh, Western-priced shopping as well as a number of more extravagant touristy sites. With 3 major shopping malls, Northern Quito delivers a wide array of designer brands and commercial goods to the public:
- Quicentro: Av. Naciones Unidas entre 6 de Diciembre and Shyris
- El JardÃn: Av. Amazonas N36-152 and Naciones Unidas
- C.C.I: Avenida República No. 6-114 and Amazonas
In addition to this, there's still a lot to explore in terms of scenery, culture and history in the Northern area despite it's modernity. So don't think that Northern Quito is completely dominated by consumer culture! It isn't! And you'll find beautiful parks and sites to visit here as well.
