This is Quito’s biggest park and one of the largest city parks in Latin America. Set up on a hill overlooking Quito on one side, and the valleys outside of Quito on the other, Parque Metropolitano is a maze of forest paths, roads, sports fields and picnic areas. Most of the trees are eucalyptus, which produce a heavenly scent year round. There are a couple of access roads to the park; the main one is Diego Noboa just up the hill from the Olympic soccer stadium. Open daily from 5:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. URL: www.parquemetropolitano.ec.
