This is Quito’s biggest park and one of the largest city parks in Latin America. Set up on a hill overlooking Quito on one side and the valleys outside of Quito on the other, Parque Metropolitano is a maze of forest paths, roads, sports fields and picnic areas. Most of the trees are eucalyptus, which produce a heavenly scent year round. There are a couple of access roads to the park; the main one is Diego Noboa just up the hill from the Olympic soccer stadium.
