Plaza De Toros - Entertainment Quito - Ecuador

The best place to see one of the traditional, and controversial, bullfights in Quito is the Plaza de Toros Monumental, in the northern neighborhood of Jipijapa. The 15,000-seat venue was built in 1960, and sees the most use during the Fiestas de Quito (late November to early December), when there are daily bullfights. Some of the absolute greats in modern bullfighting, like El Juli, Enrique Ponce and José Tomás, have done their thing in Quito's bullring. Seating is available both in shaded and sunny sections of the ring.
