Not the most attractive from outside, but Hotel Akros is an aging luxury hotel in the north of Quito. Rooms are well-appointed and include all of the amenities one would expect from a luxury class hotel. The staff is warm and welcoming, always prepared to lend a hand with bags or to answer questions about the city.

Theft in Secure Hotel Storage

I left my luggage for less than a 24 hour period in the hotel's secure storage room. When I returned, I checked my luggage and a sizeable sum of money had been stolen by the hotel staff responsible for the secure storage area. Management did not take any responsiblity for this theft. Avoid this hotel at all costs.....
