In general, golf in Ecuador is for the very wealthy and most initial membership fees are between $10,000 and $20,000 to join the affiliated country club, which then charges monthly fees around $300. Most of these listings in Quito and the surrounding areas include somewhat spectacular facilities and grounds with activities for every family member. Most courses in Ecuador were designed by the Colombian architect, J Villegas, who set each of his courses amidst sweeping vistas of the Andes. It’s difficult for tourists to play at these clubs unless they are guests of members.
