Best Places In Quito To Get Food

Whether you're desperate for a taste of home; craving sushi or Mexican; or just looking for some authentic Ecuadorian food, Quito has something for nearly every craving.

The most varied yet clustered medley of food will obviously be found in the various food courts around town, located within the major shopping malls. Quicentro and El Jardin. With a stroll down the streets of La Mariscal, you can experience a number of little hole-in-the-walls and some surprisingly good international cuisine. Old Town is where you'll find all the traditional goodies that the capital offers.

The best (and most expensive) sushi restaurant is Noe. For cheaper, but equally good Japanese (and Chinese) check out Chang Man Lou. Quito is littered with chifas (Asian restaurants), and Fuzhao is one of the best. La Casa de Eduardo and Rodr├şguez serve tacos, burritos and everything in between, while Il Risotto and Carmine have pastas, pizzas, and more. Pizzeria Anank├ę has great pizza too, in addition to its cool art house vibe. Fans of fast-food should hit G-Spot, Los Hot Dogs and Rusty Burger; while Cactus has excellent traditional Otavale├▒o food. Head to Caf├ę Mosaico for dessert, drinks and the view; and fill up on all things sweet and savory at Crepes and Waffles. For a dose of caf├ę, grab an espresso at El Caf├ęto or Caf├ę ChiQuito.
