Quito is a major hub for travelers who want to study Spanish. Most Spanish Schools offer homestays, excursions and even other types of classes like cooking classes and salsa lessons. Rates range from around $4/hour to $10/hour. If that is out of your budget, many schools will hire you as an English teacher and either give you a discount on your Spanish lessons or let you take classes for free. Price will also depend on class size. Classes are rarely less than one week and run as long as several months in length.
