Scuba Iguana is the most efficient, detail-oriented, and professional dive operation in Puerto Ayora. Gear and equipment is available in all sizes, well-maintained, and replaced annually, so you will never feel uncomfortable due to ill-fitting gear or malfunctioning equipment. Pre- and post-dive periods are restful and relaxing on Scuba Iguana’s spacious and cushy boat, but don’t expect too much down-time, since the boat’s twin engines get you to your dive location in record time. Safety is also a priority: all new divers must complete a check dive and receive an extensive safety briefing.

In addition to employing a smooth operating style, the Scuba Iguana staff is friendly, accommodating, and professional. It is clear that the brains behind the operation—managers Mathias Espinosa, a guide and underwater photographer in Galápagos since 1980, and Jack Nelson, a Galápagos guide for over 30 years—have passed on their knowledge and experience to support staff. English-speaking guides—which are assigned to small groups with a maximum of four divers—know the dive sites like the back of their hands and have a knack for finding what you are looking for. Dive center staff is also bilingual and extremely helpful, offering tourist information beyond the scuba-diving scope.

Full certification courses, daily dive trips, and pick-up service (so you can dive with Scuba Iguana during your cruise tour) can be arranged. Regardless of your scuba-diving expectations in Galápagos, you are bound to be satisfied with Scuba Iguana.

Price Description: $100-120 per day depending on dive sites. Price includes two immersions, full equipment rental, lunch, snack, hot shower and transportation to dive sites.
