Tiny Rábida Island packs a big punch for the snorkeler. A quick dinghy ride from the beach and landing point, there is a cliff wall that falls off into the water, providing one of the best deep-water snorkeling spots in the islands. The water isn’t that deep: probably not much more than twenty or thirty feet, which is just deep enough to attract some interesting sea creatures such as rays. The wall itself is full of cracks and rocks that make it a great place to see fish. If you’re lucky, some sea lions from a nearby colony will stop by for a visit, and may even want to play. There isn’t much in the way of current: the wall at Rábida is a much easier deep-water place to snorkel than other spots such as The Devil’s Crown or Turtle Rock.
