Traveler Reviews of Estrella del Mar

Dream Galapagos trip on Estrella Del Mar II

Rating: 100%

This entire trip exceeded my greatest expectations. The crew never missed a beat and was over prepared to serve us. From the snacks after a guided snorkel trip, to utilizing the SCUBA diving capacity of the Estrella Del Mar, the exploration of the underwater Galapagos was exceptional. Rooms were spotless, and the crew sincerely wanted to get to know guests. My experience included a midnight education on the plankton that illuminated the night waves as we cruised under a full tent of spectacular stars to another wonderful island. The crew made me a birthday cake for my birthday and reminded me all day that I was enjoyed. We had salsa dancing before the night briefings. The accomodations were above those of some other boats that had quoted me a higher price, and the service was worth every penny. We saw sharks, octupus, so many fish I chose to snorkel rather than SCUBA dive. The Galapagos are an enchanting place that all should see. The baby sea lions within a meter (or less!) are extraordinary. Javier and the crew did a spectacular job. We were even invited to the local crew and guide soccer pick up game at the Post Office! A must do trip!
