UPDATE: On January 14, 2009, the Parranda burned and sank off of Bartolome Island. All passengers and crew were rescued unharmed. Reports indicate that there is no way to salvage and repair the Parranda.
The Parranda is an elegant, spacious 125’ motor yacht with capacity for 16 passengers in eight double cabins. Facilities include a salon, galley, and dining room. With its remarkable stability and speed, the Parranda is targeted at travelers who want to experience the Galápagos in comfort and refinement. Expeditions depart on Sundays and include in their itineraries the islands of Santa Cruz, Genovesa, Fernandina, Isabela, Santiago, Bartolomé, Española, and South Plazas. Owner: Quasar Expeditions
