Tourist Class - Galápagos Cruises

V!VA User‘s Description

The Tourist Class offers lower prices-but not the bottom of the barrel. Boats in this category have few frills, basic accommodations, and limited public (and private) space. Facilities are often shared.

These boats often cater to backpackers, younger people, or budget travelers. As such, tours tend to be fairly laid-back, and crew members and guides may substitute professionalism for camaraderie--an often welcome exchange for those adventure-seekers prioritizing fun over fancy.

There are seven boats in this category:

The Gaby I is a standard motor yacht built to accommodate 16 passengers in eight double bunk cabins, each equipped with private bath and hot water.

The Merak is a small sailboat that makes up for its limited lounging space and privacy with charm and character.

The 16-passenger Pelikano is one of the more comfortable, lower-priced yachts, with eight double cabins, each with private bathroom and showers.

The Rumba, a small, 10-passenger motorized yacht, is a cozy yet elegant option for budget travelers or small groups.

The Sea Man is an excellent selection for visitors looking for a reasonably-priced diving tour in the Galápagos.

The Sulidae is a small but attractive motor sailor with a capacity for 12 passengers.

The Yolita is a small motor yacht with a capacity for 12 passengers. It has four double cabins with private toilet and sink, two double cabins with shared toilet and sink, and shared showers located outside of the cabins.
