The elusive zebra moray eel (gymnomuraena zebra) is smaller and more shy than its moray cousins. It is blackish brown with distinctive white-green to white-blue stripes. It also has a blunter nose than it's moray relatives. It prefers rocky walls and areas with boulders and rocks. It is shy and will hide from snorkelers and divers. It eats crabs and mollusks.
