One of the best restaurants in Galápagos, La Playa is located in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, San Cristóbal. A casual, laid-back place with an ocean view, nothing about the restaurant's plain exterior will cause you to suspect how good the food is. Specializing in seafood, La Playa is a local favorite and often fills up on weekends. There is a full menu, with non-seafood options for those who wish. The service is a bit surly, and the prices are quite steep by Puerto Baquerizo Moreno standards, but you'll forget all about that when the food comes. If you're very hungry, try a plate of chicharron de pescado-little fried bits of fish served with a dipping sauce- as an appetizer.
