A laid-back local hangout, Limón y Café is the most common nighttime meeting place on the island. You can sit at the bar or at any of the wooden tables, sipping ice-cold (-5°C) beers, playing cards, or chatting with new friends. It also has a pool table and plays (badly) subtitled movies on the bar television.
Limón y Café is always open and crowded. Regardless of when you come, you are bound to see a friendly face. It is Puerto Ayora's own Cheers: the place where everybody knows your name.

I was in Galapagos last October and my girlfriend and I went to this place every night to grab some drinks and talk to local people as well as other foreigners. The drinks were great and unexpensive and the people were super friendly!
I like it all.. .. .. Nice place to hang out
Loved it all! Has such a lovely atmosphere and we met loads of locals who were are really friendly and lovely. The guys behind the bar were really cool too. Just a good place to meet people and hang out. Had a fantastic time there! :)
During one month in Puerto Ayora I went to the Limón y Café quite often. Me and some other volunteers made friends with the bartenders, Jorge and Gustavo, and enjoyed hanging out with them in the daytime when we didn´t work. Really nice guys who told us where to go in the Galápagos. The atmosphere at the café was really good especially the nights when new tourists came to the island and a lot more of the local people came to the café. Everybody was really friendly and some times we got free drinks from behind the bar :-) Really the best place to stay each evening!!! Besides that, I like the design of the café. Rough tables and palm trees and life guard vests... It´s an open café where the wind goes right through and you can listen to the sea, when the music is not playing too loudly.
