Beautiful Spot

Service, location and atmosphere were excellent. Only criticism was that housekeeping cleared table tops and put all stuff away so on repacking I'd left behind my special hat which they'd put on the fan. Always a challenge to find my stuff on returning to my room.

A place to rest and recuperate

It has a superb, waterfront location: to get to it, a water taxi carries guests to and from the pier in town.
The Inn gives personal service, a warm welcome, an excellent breakfast, and lots of help in planning one's holiday.
We mostly rested and recuperated at the Inn before joining a 3 masted barque to explore many islands of the Galapagos for 8 days.

I can not say enough wonderful things about this hotel. The staff was respectful, helpful and courteous. The owner is a colorful and engaging gentleman. The grounds are right on the waterfront and a 2 minute water taxi from the main street in Puerto Ayora. The rooms are immaculate and luxurious - we had a cute balcony with a gorgeous view! The breakfast was absolutely delicious; fresh fruit, homemade rolls, banana pancakes, cheeses, fresh juice - all served on a lovely patio with a spectacular view of the harbor. This is the first hotel that I have gone out of my way to review. We visited several other surrounding lodges including the Red Mangrove Inn and Finch Bay Hotel before we came across the Angermeyer. The Angermeyer was superior in every way and better priced to boot. I highly recommend it.
