The Hotel Sol y Mar is filled with delightful characters, from the friendly receptionist (and owner's mother) Shirley Fuentes to the lava heron, sea lion, and marine iguanas that stay as permanent hotel guests. The newly-refurbished hotel now has seventeen rooms, each with Jacuzzi, a private balcony, and stunning sea view. Each room is spacious, immaculate, and secure and comes with air conditioning and a bar. A small deck with picnic tables serves as a great resting or meeting area, with views of the nearby not-so-wildlife and adjacent Academy Bay. The on-site restaurant overlooks the bay. A family-owned and operated establishment, Hotel Sol y Mar guarantees personalized, caring, and detail-oriented service. A mini-buffet breakfast is included in the price.
