Puerto Ayora’s finest restaurant was founded by the Angermeyers, one of the earliest colonist families of the town. Set in the cabin of Karl, it is decorated with photos and memorabilia of those early days of island life. On the deck facing the bay, you can enjoy an evening meal of fish or Galapagan beef, as succulent as that of Argentina. Meat portions are generous; the sides are delicious but disappointingly small. This is an unforgettable dining experience that is well worth the expense. Main dishes are $10-12US; wine list. Open evenings

I liked the setting of the restaurant and the overall atmosphere. I had the shrimp and would advise you to avoid it, unless you enjoy a burning sensation in your mouth similar to what habanero chillis provide.
Only half of the menu was available since there was no beef in stock (while this product is always available in Santa Cruz). We had to wait for my order because a group was there (in fact a table of 12!). They did not even propose to offer an aperitif for agreeing to wait, so I had to ask. The waiter accepted but then came back saying there was nobody in charge to authorize it. After explaining I was unpleased with this way of dealing with the customer, eventually the dish came seconds after the aperitif. And my glass of wine came when the dish was finished!I had eaten there once or twice before and had been satisfied so I hope you will be luckier than me!
Nice surroundings and romantic evening flair. The quality of meals and service are outstanding. The Sunday bruch was also a great experience at a reasonable price.
