Café del Mar

The aroma of grilled meats and the sizzle of the fire greet you as you walk into this brightly lit cavernous space with bamboo walls and large, wood slab tables. On one wall, videos about the Galapagos are being shown.

Cafe del Mar is a parillada, or grill, restaurant. Vegetarians may want to go elsewhere. There are some sandwiches and burgers for less than $5, and a heaping plate of meat will run you about $8-$10. Prices are pretty competitive with the rest of the restaurants in Puerto Ayora. 

Café del Mar has a full bar. The wines are a bit overpriced. Open evenings after 6:30 p.m.
