The Caracol Azul is no place to write home about, that is unless you have an absurd obsession with foam, baby-themed place mats, which maybe, the owners of this restaurant do: All four of the six-seater tables have matching place mats. Diners will get a kick out of the camp here. Located around the corner from Hotel Gardner and Hotel España, the "Blue Seashell "is a prime spot for a cheap, three-dollar breakfast close to home. Both American and Continental breakfasts are served, with your choice of either tea, coffee, or hot chocolate. The bread is sweet and the juice fresh and thick. Lunch and dinner entrees run between $5 and $8, though for atmosphere, Hernán Restaurant or the Calle de los Kioskos with its many cheap hole-in-the-walls is a better bet.
