Owner Linda Kerrison has given Tintorera a fresh, eco-friendly spin. Produce is organic and locally-grown; cheeses are made locally; jams are produced by the Orgnization of Artisan Women in Isabela; and re-usable glass soda bottles--not plastic throw-aways--are used. Ice cream, cakes, and bread products, including the often craved bagel, are homemade and delectably moutwatering. Breakfast is the best meal here, not only because you can partake in any of the items baked fresh, but also because you get a bottomless cup of tea or organic Galapagos coffee. Lunches, however, are not far behind: sandwiches on homemade bread, bagel sandwiches, veggie burgers, salads, soups, and middle-eastern food provide delicious vegetarian options. Be sure to check out the executive lunch menu on the chalkboard if you're coming at lunchtime: it's a good deal.

Their choice of vegeterian food is extensive, loads of salads, a great veggie burger and several sandwich options. Also thumbs up on the garden, lovely. Thanks.
The food is great too. I had the tuna on the rock, recomended by someone I met traveling and I am so pleased that I did. Woww what an experience. Awesume idea.
Have the tuna on the rock, it is the best ever!!!!
Well worth it, one of the best meals we had in Puerto Ayora.
I couldn't have had a worst time here. The food was bad, the service was horrid and the price was very bad for the quality of food. No bagels, no fresh bread, only frozen juices badly mixed with water. The menu is way too simple, and the waitresses are clueless about it. Sorry, but thumbs down.
The service was terrible, one of the owners was present and showed no concern at all that we did not like the food, and seemed more like it was our fault that we did not enjoy a completely plain meal although it was pricey (for Galapagos standards!). She showed lots of disdain and arched eye brows all the time, so as to tell us that we are just plain crazy for complaining and wanting better service as any paying customer would. The waiters did not have a clue what was served in the restaurant and the the capuccino had a distinctive off-taste from the milk. Definitely, not a reccommended stop.
Great BBQs at the weekends - different themes each week. The Indian night was especially tastey :o)
