Hotel El Tiburón, located behind a conspicuous purple and white façade is a friendly and economical option for families and groups of friends. The hospitable staff and central location are a bonus, as are the courtyard restaurant with hammocks and inside pool area. Rooms are nothing to brag about—dated wooden beds and sheets and dark bathrooms—but for the price it’s not a bad place to end up for a day or two.
