V!VA User‘s Description
Accommodation in Atacames runs from cheap backpacker dives offering little more than a bed to more luxurious resorts featuring courtyard pools, air conditioned rooms and on site restaurants and bars. Budgeters don’t necessarily need to suffer through their stay, as a few new places have recently gone up that are reasonably priced and offer brand new, ultra-clean facilities. You’re best to scout out the area (and prices) before choosing to throw down your pack. Most places are located on the Malecón, but there are a number of good options further east and west, along the beach.
