This sprawling complex is located on the beach, behind a gruesome looking chain link fence, and comes recommended by a couple of guidebooks. The hotel seems to have seen better days, though. Small, shabby looking rooms with a private bathroom and multiple bunks open onto ocean views, while an adobe complex to the back offers more rooms by the pool. Compared to other hotels in the same location, Rincon is a deal and would be particularly good for small groups looking for a quiet escape from the noise of Atacames. The pool appears clean, as do the rooms, but other places in town are slightly brighter. If you’re traveling alone, consider something closer to town -- it’s quite a walk down either a relatively deserted street or strip of beach to get here. There was no indication that owners could speak either French or German, as they've advertised. Still, the place appears to be popular with foreign travelers.
