Loved by travelers and guidebooks alike, this is a sure win if you’re in the mood for something German, something Ecuadorian, or simply something a little classier than the rest of Atacames. The menu is extensive, and is written in three languages so almost everyone can understand. If not, ask the stalwart-looking fellow with glasses and long hair: Captain Martin Einhaus speaks five languages and will most likely be able to answer you back. Seafood is probably fresher than the stuff they serve up beachside, and changes with the season to ensure quality. The menu also features various pastas and special Austrian pancakes. This place even beats places in the big city; people travel from as far as Guayaquil just to sit and nibble on the most authentic German food in the region. Above the restaurant are numerous simple but tasteful rooms; this is the place to come and stay and stay and eat.
