Like everything else in Esmeraldas, Hotel del Mar is a bit rough around the edges, but still probably one of the nicer options. Unadorned blue-walled rooms are complimented with private bathrooms, hot water, air conditioning, 24 hour security, cable T.V. and an ocean side view. A large open restaurant sits adjacent to the hotel and offers an extensive menu (Entrees: $3-6), though the place can seem a bit deserted when lacking clientele.
