Las Pigualas

Located 3 kilometers outside of the sleepy town of Mompiche (as you go north along the beach), Las Pigualas is a peaceful place to relax for a couple of days. This little-known spot has cabins that are simple but sufficient and, unusually, come complete with a fridge. Each cabin has a hammock out front for kicking back after a tough day at the beach. Friendly owner Teresa cooks up a tasty breakfast--and lunch and dinner too if you like. You can arrange kayaking trips and whale watching, in season. Access is only possible via the beach, so if you’re driving you need to find out when high tide is. If you’re not driving, the owners will pick you up from town at your request.

Getting There:
If not driving, either get a bus to Mompiche and walk along the beach or take a bus to Muisne, and get a boat to Las Pigualas (30 minutes, $15 for 2 people). See the Las Pigualas website for driving instructions.

Higher:$85 (5 person cabin)
Price Description:Price does not include breakfast. It is possible to put an extra bed in a cabin for $10.

Quiet Beach

Nice out of way cabins near the beach, a bit out town, but good if you are looking for something with privacy.

Really chilled place

This place is far away from any of the other accommodations in Mompiche, so it is an extremely relaxing place to hang out. I also found the owner to be very friendly and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend this place.
