El Economico - Restaurant Mompiche - Ecuador

This is a typical almuerzo (lunch) restaurant that specializes in breakfast. For two bucks, take the big plunge and get the breakfast (supposedly smaller, but note the dripping sarcasm) portion of fried or shrimp al ajillo (garlic) that comes with rice, menestras (typical coastal beans) and patacones (fried plantains). You can also get a more traditional breakfast for the same price: eggs, two rolls, coffee and juice. No worries, the service is kind of random and a little slow, but you are at the beach so look out at the waves, chill out, and your hearty meal will eventually show up.
