At Cabañas Mar y Paz clusters of modest cabins surround a spacious yard equipped with a volleyball court and picnic tables. The facilities make the hotel the perfect setting for friendly reunions and family excursions. The ever-amiable owner, Jaime, aims to please and (with prior notice) is happy to organize local tours or cater for special events, including meals accompanied with live music. The cabins are rustic, but relatively comfortable, with simple bunks and wooden floors. A fun, family atmosphere is complemented by plenty of open space and small gardens in which to sit and socialize. Cabins fill up quickly during high season and special holidays so it’s wise to call ahead and book early. Note: a 50 percent deposit is required for reservations.
