A big Swiss-family Robin-esque bamboo house, Hostal Coco Loco is one of the most popular spots to spend the night in Canoa.  A true traveler’s meeting ground, Coco Loco provides all the comforts of home for an international crowd. Its easy to spend a morning, afternoon, or evening idling around the kitchen counter, swapping travel stories and shooting the breeze. Of course, this place isn’t all talk: newly built and smartly styled rooms bear crisp clean sheets, new mattresses, and high-tech fans, which, when combined with a fresh sea breeze, are certain to relax the limbs and produce droopy eye-lids. Rooms are built around mock-beach area, complete with white sand and palm trees, and perfect for lounging about, or catching up on some pleasure reading. Accommodation ranges from shared bunks (themselves a steal with doors that open onto a sea-view porch hung with comfy hammocks) to large white-walled private rooms. And you’re bound to sleep soundly with the peace of mind that you’ll awake to one of the best breakfasts in Canoa: eggs benedict, chorizo and eggs, or fruit and granola are just a few of the options.
